Thanks for spending this awful, trying, ridiculous and neverending year with us. For all the dark times, we also laughed a lot, had some milestones, and had an unprecedented year of interaction with you, our beautiful community! Here’s some thoughts (…okay, a lot of thoughts, hours of thoughts) about what our year in dramas was like, and another helping of the Goguma Awards, which we kicked off last year. (Goguma, meaning sweet potato, is the name of our yak.)
Time stamps are in the episode description in the Soundcloud link below. In this post, I’ve written out all the winning dramas we mentioned for each category for your reference. Buckle yourselves in, it’s a long one!

He is the best
Oppa.
Paroma’s Ode to Yoo Inna:
Yoo Inna is deadly
On any mission

Saya’s, on behalf of the DOF team:
We have loved having you join us in our
Often long-winded yaks about
Our favourite (and unfavourite) shows.
Do yourself a good turn and drop bad shows when they’re bad!
Otherwise you’ll end up losing
Hours of your life to it,
Which you’ll never get back.
And the point is joy,
Not waste and misery. Joy shared and multiplied!

Haven’t listened to the podcast or even watched that many K-dramas, but these awards are ace, thanks! I’m particularly glad the music of Kairos has been recognised here. I thought its sinister electronic throb was really unusual for a K-drama, and what’s more perfectly complemented the almost precision-engineered nature of the show itself.

Yeah, KAIROS was unusually restrained in a really great way – I only recall one song with vocals actually being used during an episode, for the entirety of the show. It set the tension and mood perfectly to have this creepy, sparing score throughout. The drama was, as you said, so well-thought out, with so much loving attention to detail.
